42" Yak-55

This aerobatic plane was is a scaled up version of the 32" Yak-55. Due to the larger size the design was modified as necessary to handle the additional weight and flight loads. I am happy to say that I was able to keep all of the good flying characteristics of the smaller Yak-55 with out sacrificing anything. Now we have a plane that is an EPP counterpart to the outdoor depron aerobatic planes and can use the same gear.

The 42" Yak-55 has now been updated with a symetrical airfoil like the 42" Edge 540 has. This has lowered the drag of the plane a little allowing it to fly more like a balsa plane.

The kit consists of all the foam pieces precut.
The parts are cut on a CNC waterjet cutter and have alignment tabs for even easier building.
The kit is cut from 1.5 lb "Beefy" EPP.
All of the control surfaces come prebeveled.
The wing spar slot is precut into the bottom of the wing.

2 - wire for ailerons.
6 - wire z-bend w/ heatshrink for pushrods.
